Production of sports super-car Mono, which has been praised by the BBC’s Top Gear is to take place in Merseyside, creating around 60 jobs.
Cheshire-based Briggs Automotive Company, which builds the BAC Mono, is moving to larger premises in Speke.
The Abacus Commercial Property Team is assisting BAC with negotiations in their move from existing premises in Holmes Chapel.
The single-seater car is primarily aimed at track drivers and was named car of the year in 2011 by Top Gear’s ‘the Stig’.
Top Gear will be featuring the Mono supercar on Sunday 7th July.
BAC hope to open the new production site at Speke Hall Industrial Estate by the autumn, with an aim to manufacture more than 100 cars a year by 2015.
